I got this other question concerning texture mapping to collada objects…
I have a 12000 (yes, twelve thousand) object library , give or take a few, and need to convert them to colladas so I can use them in a papervision project… the idea is to import different objects to build up a home interior environment…
the thing is I need to be able to choose one of many textures to configure my object… say a couch… the same couch can come with many different materials and colors but I only want to have one dae couch and apply a diferent texture to it everytime I choose to insert it on my environment…
I read a couple tutorials but in both cases I have to manually edit the colladas so I can see which tags are “editable” :S
is there anyway I can get a map of textures from the object when it’s exported from 3d studio?
