My cable installer replaced my net card today, and he was talking about how he was using a set of GL drivers. Apparently, someone has written a number of drivers which are optimized for certain games (i.e.- Half Lfe, Quake 2&3, etc.). Apparently his frame rate improved 20-30%. He had mentioned the web address for the outfit, but I can’t remember it, and my searches turn up nothing but junk. Does this sound like he was puling my leg ? The guy seemed OK, and all else he steered me to was good stuff, and accurate. So . . . anybody heard of such a thing?
He might have been talking about wicked GL. Thats the only thing I can think of.
Not sure what their sight is tho.
