    Win2k and OpenGL 1.2

I thought Win2k would ship with OpenGL v1.2. Alas, it reports 1.1.27PT. Is it going to move to 1.2?? If so, when?? I run a P3 with Oxygen GVX1

In fact, and according to TheRegister (see www.theregister.co.uk/991129-000007.html):
Microsoft will stop supporting OpenGl in Windows2k and Millenium!

It sounds incredible, but it could be the biggest threat to the OpenGl standard: most developers can't use both D3D and OGL.

For what it's worth, I stumbled across some information from Microsoft about this.
