A crawling worm, a blobby amoeba, or anything else?

"organic" can mean a few different things, requiring different techniques.

The closest thing to a blobby amoeba I can think if, and is not that difficult, is marching cubes to implement a few metaballs.

Try this place, it contains source on a marching cube implementation, and it's really easy to understand.
