Skybox help and texture map source

Does anyone have a good tutorial for skybox. I need a realistic daylight sky and night sky. Also some generic texture maps for wood, metal, buildings and roads would help out a lot.

    thanks

a skybox is just a very big cube and you place the objects inside the cube

    HI

As pointed out a Sky box is generally a cube that you create to place you sky and horizon textures on to simulate the Sky. ( I prefer to actually use a dome)

As to textures, there are many out there on the net just do a google for textures,

Heres a starting point for some textures

You could also try Terragen for generating your own skybox textures.
