Compiled vertex arrays on Onyx2, iR

I do not find the extension EXT_compiled_vertex_arrays on the Onyx2 system I use, we have IRIX 6.5 and OpenGL 1.1. If locking of arrays is not possible, are arrays not DMAed to graphics pipe on iR systems?

I'm rendering 212 000 points, all stored in
one vertex array. Achieved frame rate is 30 Hz. Can one do better on one pipe?

    Howdy,

i don't know the answer, but I do know i've seen DMA errors on our system, but i've never explicitly locked vertex arrays. Have you checked the sgi optimisation on-line book? (It should be included with your version of Irix).

    cheers
