OpenGL ES in non fullscreen mode

Hi everybody,
is it possible to create an OpenGL ES context in a non fullscreen application on a Windows Mobile 5 pocket pc (Dell Axim X51v)? If I do not switch to fullscreen using SHFullscreen, the context doesn’t seem to get initialized correctly. I would like to use menus for switching rendering options and load files etc.
