Max exporter: Textures in the Standard Material

Is it possible to export all the textures for the standard material regardless of which shader (blinn, strauss etc) is chosen?

If it is, then we can add a new shader type, and let collada export all our textures in the standard way. Otherwise, we’re a little hosed because we won’t be able to get collada to export the properties of our material.

Can you help me understand the issue?

Right now, what I understand is that you/your team wrote a proprietary material plug-in that has texture/bitmap choices and you would want the COLLADA plug-in to export the bitmap information?
